This program wants to find out what older people in this city have in common. They followed about 7 people in their 90s to 100s from morning to dawn, doing blood tests and other health checks.
What they found was that the seven elderly people had high levels of DHEA. DHEA is a steroid hormone that many people believe is a longevity hormone. Upon closer inspection, the elderly have something in common, namely that they do hobbies that they really like. A woman in her 90s is seen spending a few hours every day carving traditional Japanese masks then a man enjoys painting and the others go fishing every day.
